  10. Version 1.5 (11/89) contains three new programs in addition to
  11. fixes for all the known bugs in Version 1.0. Several of the
  12. existing utility programs have also been enhanced. Some of the
  13. most visible changes are:
  14.     
  15.         - the utilities USERLIST, MSET and REBOOT have been
  16.           added.  See your documentation for details.
  17.           
  18.         - a bug that caused the MESSAGE utility to crash while
  19.           running under graphics programs has been fixed.        
  20.           
  21.         - the MESSAGE utility has been enhanced to allow the
  22.           display of longer messages, and to display the 
  23.           time at which the message was sent.
  24.  
  25.         - the utilities (specifically FASTNET and LOGIN) no 
  26.           longer rely on undocumented features of COMMAND.COM.
  27.           They will now work with all compatible command 
  28.           shell processors, including J.P. Software's 4DOS.
  29.            
  30.         - LOGIN has been relinked to give you up to 64K more
  31.           available memory during login script execution.  
  32.           
  33. In Version 1.51 (12/89) we've fixed two remaining problems with the
  34. MESSAGE utility. 
  35.  
  36.         - In version 1.5 (MESSAGE version 1.6), MESSAGE could
  37.       occasionally cause a lockup if a message came in at just
  38.           the wrong point in a disk intensive operation.  The new
  39.       version checks much more carefully to be sure that it's
  40.           safe to pop up.

  42.         - The older version of MESSAGE had the annoying property
  43.     of sometimes preventing stations from accessing a server
  44.     while a message was popped up on the server's screen. The
  45.     improved "pop up safety checking" also eliminates this
  46.     problem.
  47.  
  48. Version 1.52 (4/90) adds improved DOS 4.xx compatibility.  
  49.  
  50. In Version 2.00 (6/90) new programs were added: FU, SU, INTERCOM,
  51. DELAY, and LUSETUP. MESSAGE's pop-up mechanism was reworked for
  52. greater reliability.
  53.  
  54. Version 2.00a (10/90) contains a fix for a bug that kept LOGIN from working
  55. correctly when no password is given under LANtastic NOS 3.0.

  57. Known bugs in this version:

  59. MSET does not seem to set the master copy of the environment when
  60. running under DOS 4.01 if the environment size has been changed with
  61. the /E parameter in CONFIG.SYS. 
  62.     
  63. Version 2.01 (3/91) is not shareware -- it can be freely used and
  64. distributed. Source code is also available: see the file LANUTILS.DOC for information.
